Mom & Toddler Yoga classes are for babies that are crawling up to 3 years.
For the babies and toddlers we focus on poses that promote strength, coordination and balance. Our classes are relaxed and fun so that the children are at ease to explore their bodies and their abilities and in doing so develop their confidence and self-esteem. While classes are structured, we invite spontaneity and interactivity so that the children can engage fully in the class, with each other and with themselves.
For the parents, I take a practical approach to yoga and we do essential key practices that can also be done at home. These asanas relieve the common aches and pains (neck, shoulder, back) and strengthen the core muscles. We also explore different breathing practices can be used to invigorate or to relax depending on what is needed.
Relaxation is an essential component of the class where both children and parents have an opportunity to experience quiet and stillness as much as it is possible.
